Rise & Shine, It’s Oprah Time!
Orange Productions
meets
Harpo Productions!
Day 1 – (next posting to release on Wednesday)
We arrived in the windy city of Chicago yesterday around noon. After a great lunch in Greektown, we headed to the Magnificent Mile to tour the John Hancock building & take in the views from 98 floors above the city! While on Michigan Avenue, the Orange team took in the great shopping, found some bargains and then hurried back to our hotel for showers and changing.
Tonight, our night before the Oprah show taping, we landed tickets for the Tony Award winning musical “Billy Elliot” (music by Elton John). The music, dancing and storyline was fantastic! It was inspirational to watch such great talent and set the stage for tomorrow mornings rise & shine for Oprah! The show concluded around 10:45 CST and then we retired to our room for the night.
I honestly did not sleep much, as I knew that that Oprah show was planned for the crack of the Chicago dawn! excitement is an understatement, it is a feeling of blessed, fortune and milestone victory! This was a moment that I was committed to living, enjoying and savoring for the remainder of my life.
The alarm began to sound around 4:15am, followed by a “just in case” wake up call at 4:30am! Today, we are scheduled to arrive at Harpo Studios by 6:30am for an Oprah show taping…
**be sure to follow our 4 part series, the next blog to release on Wednesday!
